Bad Blogger...

OK, so I am a bad blogger. I should have known I would be because I could never keep a diary as a kid or a journal as an adult.When I did try I would go weeks and sometimes months without writing anything down. I kept telling myself that I wanted to wait until I had new pictures of Madi to add (Chad and I bought a new computer and I am still trying to figure it out), but I guess that's just another excuse.

Anyway, Madi is doing wonderful. She has continued to sleep through the night for the last couple of weeks. We occasionally have a night that she wants to get up and play, but luckily when that happens its usually on the weekend. She is really trying to crawl. She gets her little legs tucked up under her and her butt up in the air, but its the arms she is having trouble with. Chad and I play with her on the floor all the time and we try putting a toy just out of her reach to encourage her crawling. We sometimes wonder if that is the smartest thing because we haven't completely baby proofed the house. OK, we really haven't done anything except cover the outlets and that's just because we received outlet covers as a Christmas gift.

Madi has a new best friend, well two actually, Jack and Chloe. Jack and Chloe are our two cats and they used to receive all the attention. Madison's eyes just follow them around whenever the walk into a room or jump down off the couch. Jack is our "mellow" cat. I got Jack back in college and he is what some people refer to as a Mama's boy. He sleeps on my head at night, literally, and comes whenever I call him. Chloe on the other hand is Chad's cat. She follows him around the house, jumps on his lap and sleeps right next to him. Chloe like to you to pet her, but on her time. Jack on the other hand just loves all the attention you can give him. Jack will let Madi grab at his fur and play with him, but he will jump up and run away when she lets out a sound. She just gets so excited by him and lets out this little high pitch sound and scares him off. Chloe is still getting used to the idea that someone else has her Daddy's attention. It will be very interesting in the Catlett household when Madi is mobile and chasing after both Jack and Chloe.

Well I do have one picture to post of Madi, but I'll have to try to get some of her playing with the cats. I'll try to be better at posting, but I make no promises.
