As for Madi she had a first last night. She fell asleep in my arms around 7:30 pm. Around 8:00 I finally put her in her bed (I just love to hold her and watch her sleep). Well, she didn't wake up until 6:45 am. I couldn't believe it. Now everyone thinks that I must have gotten a great nights sleep, but wrong!! I woke up around 4:00 and realized she hadn't gotten me up between 2:00 - 3:00 for her normal middle of the night feeding, so I immediately went to make sure everything was OK, which it was. Then I went and got back into bed and I just knew she would get up any minute, so why go back to sleep. We'll 5:00 came and she's still not awake. I go and check on her again, yup still breathing. Lay back down and watch the minutes tick by. Now its 6:00, so I go and check on her again, still fine. I lay back down again and I want to fall back asleep, but of course that doesn't happen. I finally hear her around 6:45 and we get up and start our day together. So, I slept really well from about 10:00 - 4:00 (I know most people would love 6 hours sleep, but anyone who knows me realizes that 6 hours isn't enough for me.) I guess I'll see what happens tonight, but I don't expect another 11 1/2 hours of sleep for my Madi. This picture was taken a couple months ago, but it's to cute not to share...

Well if I had known you were up....Mari took a bottle at 1:30 and then was up playing from 3:30-4:30 then back up at 5:30 for good. Oh, the jet lag! Hopefully Miss Madi will continue to sleep thru the night and maybe Mari will follow suit. Mari can sleep that long, it's just which time of the day she picks to do it!
