Vacation.....Wedding and 4th of July!

Chad, Madi and I just got back (we'll last Sunday) from a 10 day vacation in NY. My baby sister got married on June 28th, so were off to celebrate and spend time with my family. It's amazing how fast 11 days goes when your not working. Madi had a wonderful time and was spoiled rotten by my family. Every morning my Mom would take her for a walk while Chad and I slept in (I guess we got spoiled too). My Mom was also dog sitting for my sister and Madi became attached to Harley (a golden retriever). She would cry when we would walk inside and when Harley came in she would just laugh and laugh, even as his tail kept hitting her in the face. Chad is now convinced that we need a dog, but I think we will hold off on that one for a while. We also got to play in the park and Madi got to go on her first boat ride. Nikki and Gregg bought a boat a year or so ago and keep it docked at my Dad's house. They will spend every weekend out on the Lake this summer. Anyway, Madi feel asleep within the first 3 minutes of the boat ride, but woke up for about the last 20 minutes. She enjoyed most of it, but hated having the life jacket on. Other than that we just relaxed and had fun with my family and I spent some time with some friends.

Madi also changed so much in a week. She is really on the move walking. She doesn't walk 100% of the time yet, but when she falls down she gets right back up and tries again. She is also shaking her head yes a lot. She doesn't know what it means, but at least she isn't shaking her head no at us...yet! Now onto some pictures...

So, we had a great time in NY and can't wait to go back in September to meet my nephew Xavier. Shae will be flying in from Colorado with him for a short visit, but I can't wait to see everyone again. We have also been so busy and tired since we got back that we haven't seen any of Chad's family. I hear Mari is walking like crazy and I'm sure she has grown so much. We did miss a baby shower for my SIL Diana, so I can't wait to talk to her and see all the goodies she got. It won't be long until Madi will have another cousin to play with! We can't wait!
