I watch The Today Show every morning and last week they were talking about plastics and how they have good plastics and bad plastics and how some plastics can be potentially harmful. So, I started looking around my house to see what "number" my plastics were and I started looking at Madison's bottles and sippy cups. Sure enough they were the bad plastics. The bad plastics are numbers 3, 6, & 7 - with 7 being the worst. Well most baby bottles and sippy cups are that number 7. It basically means they have bisphenol A and phthalates (yeah - I can't say that either) in the plastics. So, I started looking online today to see what I could find with the bisphenol A and phthalates and I came across this website: www.nurturepure.com/
They have this multi stage feeder and sippy cup, so I went ahead bought two. Besides having the "good plastics" - they also have 3 interchangeable tops to help your child go from bottle to sippy cup to the straw feeder. Since Madi is having a hard time right now with the sippy cup I thought this might help her a little better. Of course since I just ordered them today I don't know exactly how she will do with them, but will let you know. Anyway, you might want to check out your plastic bottles to see what "number" they have on the bottom.
