Big week for Madi...

Madi had a big week last week. She took her first plane ride to NY to visit my family and she did GREAT!. I couldn't have asked for a better baby on the plane. We even had one person comment that they didn't even know a baby was on the plane. We left from Richmond last Friday morning (March 28th), it was interesting to say the least, driving down I64 the day after the shootings. The State and County Police Department was everywhere, so that made us feel a little bit better. Anyway, we left Richmond and flew into Charlotte, NC, then headed to Buffalo, NY. When we left VA at 7:00 in the morning it was already 60 degrees. We land in Buffalo to 30 degree weather and SNOW. What else should we expect from the Snow Capital. We got to visit with most of my family. My sister Shae is 8 months pregnant and couldn't fly home, but we had a nice wedding shower for my sister Nikki on Saturday (the whole reason for our trip.) Madison of course got to play with my nephew Carter - he is the only 11 month old I know who has had 4 haircuts - pictures below. He is just too cute! We flew back on Monday, left Buffalo to Boston, then Boston to Richmond. Monday was a long day, but Madi was a trooper. Once we got back things changed for Miss Madi. She got an ear infection and cold and just a little cranky, but hey what can you expect with all that change it such a short amount of time.

Madi's other big event is that she is mobile, yup she is crawling….all over the place. Baby proofing is now a must in our household and Jack and Chloe (our two kitty's) better watch out. For some reason she just loves to sit right next to the fridge behind the garbage can…not sure what that is about.

We have also had some sad news in our families this week. Chad's Uncle Phillip passed away on Friday (April 4th) due a motorcycle accident. I had gotten to know Phillip a little bit in the past few years and I know that he will be missed greatly. I am sorry that Madi won't get to know him and that we didn't get to spend more time together with him. As for my family, I won't go into details here and now, but ask that you keep both our families in your prayers.

I'll leave you with some pictures from our trip to NY.
