Hot Weekend

Chad, Madi and I had a long hot weekend. We found out Saturday morning that our AC had died on us. Normally we could probably handle that for a day or two, but of course this past weekend the temps were in the 100's. Thank goodness for family. We spent Saturday at Jill's house - playing in the pool and just hanging out. Jill's house was a little more crowded than normal, but she made room for us. Juli and Brenda were visiting from KY, so they had the guest bedroom and Jill was nice enough to let Chad, Madi and I have her room while she spent the night on the floor in Mari's room. THANKS JILL!! We went home Sunday morning for a few hours and just couldn't take it, so we were off to Grandma & Granddad's house for the afternoon. They let us borrow two fans, so we did stay at our house last night, but it was hot. At 10:00pm when Chad and I went to bed it was still 90 degrees inside the house. We would have been better off sleeping outside on the porch, but we survived. We had an AC man come out to the house on Saturday and they found the problem, but of course didn't have the part. We are hoping to get it fixed today because today and tomorrow are suppose to be just as hot. Oh, have I mentioned that the AC unit is only 2 years old...ughh!! Then we thought we would try to pool in just our Lil Swimmer, but that didn't work either. And it got even worse when Mommy tried to give Madi a Mohawk!
