Grandmimers and 1st Tooth

Grandmimers...what/who is that. Well for some reason when I was about 13 or 14 I started calling my Mom - Mime. And over the years that has grown into Mimers, so my Mom has decided that she wants Madi to call her Grandmimers. I know that is a handful to say and so I am very interested to see what actually comes out of her mouth when she attempts to say it for the first time. Anyway, why I am talking about my Mime, well she spent last week with us. She came down on Sunday and then flew the following Sunday. Madi got to stay home with her Grandmimers last week instead of going to day care. And I am not sure which one had more fun.

It's finally happened. Madison is getting her first tooth. Chad was getting ready to feed her dinner last night and just happened to notice that her first tooth is getting ready to pop through. So far no problems other than a little gagging now and then. She went to the doctor for her 9 month check up (18.8lbs and 27 3/4 inches now) last week and she has an ear infection. I was attempting to give her her medicine this morning when she started gagging and threw up a little, but no fever and so far no real screaming/crying from pain.

Here are a few pictures I took last week of Miss Madison.

She is a huge Kentucky Wildcat fan (she may not know it yet), so we spent Sunday watching the Cats beat Florida and she was just cheering her little heart out in the outfit Poppy got her for Christmas. Its a good thing we have several UK outfits since the NCAA tourny is getting ready to start - GO CATS!!:

Here's my peaceful little sleeper:

And we are so close to crawling, but just haven't mastered it yet. I know once she starts we'll be chasing her all over the place:

That look just says - Common Mommy and Daddy come get me...

That UK dress is soooo cute! We're in Oldham county, so we are right in the middle of the UofL and UK rivalry.:)

Child abuse I tell you!! Get that girl a WVU dress!! Ha ha. I will admit she is the prettiest girl I've ever seen in a UK dress. And the color is perfect on her. I guess since I love all colors and races of children I can love a KU girl as well. She is beautiful for sure. Of course I loved her UK mom first!!

So happy to hear about the tooth!! Just think, pretty soon, we'll have to worry about which girl bit who first? Sounds like a bad Dr. Seuss book.

Yea Tooth!!
