One down, Two to go...

Madi really enjoyed her first Christmas. We had a wonderful time here in VA. On Christmas Eve we went to church with the whole family and Madi was perfect. Every time we have taken her to church she just sits on our laps and takes it all in. She loves to be sung to, so the Christmas Eve service was perfect with lots of singing. Then on Christmas morning she woke up smiling, as usual, and Chad, Madi and I opened presents at our house. Then we went over to Chad's parents house and opened even more presents with the rest of the Catlett's. Madi was spoiled of course, as were Chad and I. I have pictures that I hope to add later.

We are off tomorrow to NY for Christmas and New Years with my family. I am so excited to go home and see my sisters. It has been 15 months since all 4 of us were at home at the same time. And I can't wait to hold my nephew Carter. He was born back in May and I have only spent a couple days with him in September. I am looking forward to seeing the interaction between Madi and Carter.

Jill and Bruce leave on Monday for Ethiopia. For those of you who don't know Jill is adopting a baby girl from Ethiopia. Her name is Amari and she is 9 months old. They will be returning on Jan. 9th, so Madi will have a new cousin to play with. Look at those big brown eyes...

Anyway, we hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and wish everyone a Happy New Years!
